How long do you boil eggs? It’s such a tricky question!? It’s something so simple but is it 5 minutes or 15 minutes, and what’s the difference?? Today I’m going to show you how long I boil my eggs.
I boil my eggs for 3 minutes then take them off the heat and let them cool to room temperature before I peel them. Then you can make all kinds of goodies like these, I love my farm fresh eggs. Now I’ll show you exactly how I do it.
Get a big deep pot.
Put in enough water to cover the tops of the eggs by one inch.
Put the eggs in the pot, it’s very important that you don’t over crowd the pot.
Put it on medium high heat until it starts a rolling boil.
Start your timer and let it boil for 3 minutes.
Then take it off the stove and let them cool to room temperature. If you’re in a hurry after 12 minutes you can run them under cold water.
Now instead of feeding your kids sugary cereal for breakfast you can give them a hard boiled eggs. And they make a good snack at any point in the day…have a hard boiled egg. I pre peel them and put them in a little container. Then you can have an egg any time anywhere. Boiled eggs travel well and they’re nutritious.
