Tips for hard financial times. #120 In this episode Becky talks about how to make it through hard financial times. She gives a tour of the homestead kitchen and talks about ways to simplify and save money. Nance Becky, what are you using to cook meals on now? When we go to our “homestead” in Missouri for the weekends, we cook on a propane 2-burner stove or on a Coleman camp stove. I guess our 3rd option is the wood campfire but we don’t elect to use that very often anymore. I sure enjoy your website. Faye Becky, I love your videos and learn soo much. I like you live in a small ( 1000 square feet) house. My house is old but in good condition. I saved and paid 100% cash for it. Praise the Lord!! YES SAVING ALL THOSE YEARS AND PAYING CASH WAS SOOO WORTH IT! It is not opulent but it is perfect for me ! I also do without a dishwasher and clothes dryer…but I love my microwave. I also opted to purchase the smallest refrigerator and oven which I could find. But I also have a secondary freezer. I live in the city and have no intention to move to the country. I love animals but I don’t want any besides my dog. I do enjoy gardening and I have covered most of my front yard with a vegetable garden. My goal is to learn more self sufficient skills: canning etc. Please keep the videos coming…I really appreciate them.
